Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 15, 2026
⚠ Important Notice (Non-Professional Training Service)
All services on the TeachMeSki platform are ski instruction matching services in nature. They do not constitute any form of professional sports training, physical assessment, or medical service. Skiing is an inherently risky activity. Participants should evaluate their own physical condition and ability. By using this platform, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of skiing and agree to assume personal responsibility.
Article 1: Service Scope
The scope of this Platform's services is limited to online information matching and does not include the arrangement, supervision, or quality assurance of any offline teaching activities. All ski instruction involves inherent risks. Participants should evaluate their own physical condition and assume corresponding responsibility. Please refer to the Important Notice (Preamble) above for details.
Article 2: General Provisions
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your (collectively "User," including "Students" who post lesson requests on the Platform and "Instructors" who provide teaching services) use of the TeachMeSki platform (website, iOS App, Android App, collectively "Platform"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your agreement to be bound by these Terms.
Article 3: Account Management
Users must provide truthful and accurate personal information to complete account registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities occurring under your account. If you discover unauthorized use of your account, please notify us immediately at support@teachmeski.com. TeachMeSki reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Article 4: User Obligations
This platform's services are intended for adults aged 18 and above. Use by minors is strictly prohibited. If a user registers by misrepresenting their age as an adult, the Platform reserves the right to immediately terminate their account and shall bear no related liability. Users must comply with applicable laws and must not use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful activities. Users must not interfere with platform operations or circumvent security mechanisms.
Article 5: Instructor Obligations
Instructors providing services on this platform bear full responsibility for their teaching content, qualification descriptions, and performance. Instructors must not make claims beyond their actual capabilities and must ensure teaching activities are conducted safely. TeachMeSki is an information matching platform and does not endorse or guarantee the services provided by instructors. See Article 6 (Platform Role and Liability Limitations) for details.
Article 6: Platform Role and Liability Limitations
6.1 Platform Role TeachMeSki is an information matching platform that solely provides the technical service of enabling instructors and students to obtain each other's contact information. The Platform does not provide, operate, arrange, or supervise any ski instruction, physical training, or other in-person activities. 6.2 No Employment Relationship Instructors are not employees, agents, or partners of this Platform. Any agreements, transactions, or contractual relationships between instructors and students arising from the use of this Platform are independent actions between the parties and are unrelated to the Platform. 6.3 Instructor Qualification Disclaimer Qualifications, certifications, experience, and other personal information published by instructors on this Platform are self-reported and instructors bear sole responsibility for their truthfulness and accuracy. The Platform does not verify, guarantee, or endorse any qualifications or capabilities claimed by instructors. Users should exercise their own judgment in evaluating instructor suitability. However, if the Platform receives a substantiated report and determines that an instructor has provided false information, committed a serious violation, or seriously damaged the Platform's reputation, the Platform reserves the right to remove their profile, suspend, or permanently terminate their account at any time. 6.4 Activity Risk Disclaimer Skiing and related snow sports carry inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, and weather changes. Participation in any offline activity is voluntary, and users should assess risks and assume corresponding responsibility. Inability to conduct activities due to adverse weather, resort closure, natural disaster, or other force majeure events is not the Platform's responsibility and does not constitute grounds for credit refund or any compensation. The Platform is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses arising from offline activities. The Platform strongly recommends that both instructors and students obtain adequate accident insurance and third-party liability insurance before engaging in any snow sports activities. 6.5 Dispute Disclaimer Any disputes between instructors and students, including but not limited to teaching quality, fee disputes, scheduling conflicts, personal safety incidents, property damage, or any form of civil or criminal dispute, shall be resolved by the parties themselves. The Platform has no obligation to investigate, mediate, or adjudicate, and shall not bear joint liability for the actions or inactions of any party. 6.6 Information Accuracy and Non-Refund Principle The Platform makes no guarantees regarding the truthfulness or completeness of lesson request content or personal information submitted by students. Instructors should evaluate their willingness to accept a case before unlocking. After unlocking, instructors may not request credit refunds from the Platform on the grounds of student non-response (except as provided under the 48-hour service compensation mechanism in Article 7), change of intent, or inaccurate information. 6.7 Compliance with Laws and Resort Regulations Both instructors and students agree to strictly comply with local laws and the management regulations of the relevant ski resort (including but not limited to restrictions on commercial instruction) when conducting teaching activities. If violation of resort regulations results in expulsion, ticket confiscation, or any legal liability, the parties shall bear sole responsibility. The Platform shall not bear any joint liability and will not refund credits. 6.8 Prohibition of Fraudulent Compensation Claims After unlocking and obtaining a student's contact information, instructors may contact students through external communication channels. However, instructors must not, by any means (including but not limited to in-platform messaging or private external contact), instigate, suggest, or induce students to "not reply to in-platform messages" in order to circumvent system detection and fraudulently obtain 48-hour service compensation credits. If the Platform verifies or receives student reports of such malicious credit farming or fraudulent behavior, the Platform reserves the right to immediately revoke compensation eligibility, deduct corresponding credits, and suspend or permanently terminate the account, without any form of compensation.
Article 7: Information Service and Credits
7.1 Service Definition The Platform's core paid service is the "information matching service," which assists instructors in obtaining students' lesson request details and contact information (hereinafter "Information Service"). Each time an instructor "unlocks" a student's request, it constitutes the purchase of one Information Service. When the student's contact information and request details are revealed to the instructor, the Information Service is deemed delivered and complete. The Platform does not guarantee students' genuine intention to take lessons, nor does it intervene in subsequent scheduling, fee arrangements, teaching safety, or other real-world transactions and fulfillment responsibilities between instructors and students. 7.2 Nature of Credits Credits are consumable tokens for pre-purchasing Information Services, redeemable solely for Information Services within this Platform. Credits are not electronic currency, stored value, securities, or any form of financial product. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to third parties, or withdrawn from the Platform. 7.3 Purchase Method Credits are obtained through In-App Purchase (IAP) via Apple App Store or Google Play. Purchases are subject to Apple's / Google's respective terms of service and refund policies. 7.4 Non-Refundable This Information Service constitutes an "online service that is complete upon delivery." In accordance with the applicable exceptions to the right of withdrawal for distance transactions, users agree that once they unlock and obtain student information, the seven-day cooling-off period does not apply. Once the Information Service is delivered (i.e., contact information is revealed), it is deemed consumed and is non-refundable — no credit returns or any form of reversal shall be provided. Cash refunds for purchased credits are also not available. If a refund occurs through Apple's / Google's refund policies, the Platform reserves the right to deduct the corresponding credits from the account balance. If a refund causes the credit balance to become negative, the Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account. 7.5 48-Hour Service Compensation If a student does not reply through the Platform's built-in messaging system within 48 hours after an instructor unlocks a request, the system will determine that the Information Service was not effectively delivered. The Platform will proactively compensate an equivalent number of credits to the instructor's account as a service quality guarantee. This compensation is a goodwill measure by the Platform and not a statutory refund obligation. Whether a "non-response" has occurred is determined solely based on the Platform's server records. 7.6 Credit System Adjustments TeachMeSki reserves the right to adjust credit pricing, exchange rates, and related policies with prior notice to users. Such adjustments shall not be retroactive; credits already purchased shall retain their usage rights as they existed prior to the adjustment.
Article 8: Intellectual Property
All content on this platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, interface design, trademarks, and software, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, and is owned by TeachMeSki or its licensors. Without explicit written authorization, no reproduction, modification, distribution, or other use of such content is permitted.
Article 9: Disclaimer
This platform provides services on an "as-is" basis and makes no express or implied warranties regarding the suitability, completeness, or uninterrupted availability of services. TeachMeSki is not responsible for the outcomes of interactions between instructors and students, nor does it guarantee that lesson services will achieve users' specific goals. Users understand and agree that the Platform is solely an information matching technology service provider and is not responsible for the outcomes of any offline transactions, activities, or relationships established through the Platform.
Article 10: Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, except for damages caused by the Platform's willful misconduct or gross negligence, TeachMeSki shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use this platform, even if TeachMeSki has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Article 11: Service Modification and Termination
TeachMeSki reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the platform services at any time without prior notice. If a user violates these Terms, TeachMeSki may immediately terminate the user's account and service access.
Article 12: Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Unless otherwise provided by the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory regulations, both parties agree that the Taipei District Court shall have first-instance jurisdiction.
Article 13: Amendments
TeachMeSki may amend these Terms from time to time and will notify users via platform announcements or email. Continued use of the platform after amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend checking these Terms periodically for the latest version.
